1061PraiseYah!Oh agivethanks to Yahweh, for He bis good; For cHis lovingkindness endures forever.2Who can speak of the amightydeeds of Yahweh,Or can makeall His praise to be heard?3How blessed are those who keep1justice,2And he who adoesrighteousness at alltimes!4Remember me, O Yahweh, in Yourafavor1toward Your people;Visit me with Your salvation,5That I may see the agoodness of Your chosenones,That I may brejoice in the gladness of Your nation,That I may cboast with Your 1inheritance.6aWe have sinnedbwith our fathers,We have committediniquity, we have actedwickedly.7Our fathers in Egypt did not consider Your wondrousdeeds; They adid not remember Your abundantlovingkindnesses,But they brebelled by the sea, at the 1RedSea.8Yet He saved them afor the sake of His name,That He might bmake His mightknown.9Thus He arebuked the 1RedSea and it bdriedup,And He cled them through the deeps, as through the wilderness.10So He asaved them from the 1hand of the one who hatedthem,And bredeemed them from the 2hand of the enemy.11aThe waterscovered their adversaries; Not one of them was left.12Then they abelieved His words; They bsang His praise.13They quicklyaforgot His works; They bdid not wait for His counsel,14But acravedintensely in the wilderness,And bputGodtothetest in the wasteland.15So He agave them their request,But bsent a 1wastingdisease against their lives.16Then they becameaenvious of Moses in the camp,And of Aaron, the holyone of Yahweh,17The aearthopened and swallowedupDathan,And coveredup the 1company of Abiram.18And a afireburnedup in their company; The flameconsumed the wicked.19They amade a calf in HorebAnd worshiped a moltenimage.20Thus they aexchanged their gloryFor the image of an ox that eatsgrass.21They aforgotGod their Savior,Who had donebgreatthings in Egypt,22aWondrousdeeds in the land of HamAndawesome things by the 1RedSea.23Therefore aHe said that He would destroy them,Had not bMoses His chosen one stood in the breachbefore Him,To turnaway His wrath from 1eradicatingthem.24Then they adespised the bpleasantland; They cdid not believe in His word,25But agrumbled in their tents; They did not listen to the voice of Yahweh.26So He 1,aswore to themTo make them fall in the wilderness,27And to amake their seedfall among the nationsAnd to bscatter them in the lands.28They then ajoined themselves to 1Baal-peor,And atebsacrificesoffered to the dead.29Thus they aprovokedHimtoanger with their actions,And the plaguebrokeout among them.30Then Phinehasastood up and interceded,And so the bplague was checked.31And it was acounted to him for righteousness,From generationtogeneration forever.32They also aprovokedHimtowrath at the waters of 1Meribah,So that it bwentbadly with Moses on their account;33Because they awere rebelliousagainst1His Spirit,He spokerashly with his lips.34They adid not destroy the peoples,As bYahwehcommanded them,35But athey mingled with the nationsAnd learned their works,36And aserved their idols,bWhich became a snare to them.37They asacrificed their sons and their daughters to the bdemons,38And they shedainnocentblood,The blood of their bsons and their daughters,Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was cpolluted with the blood.39Thus they becameaunclean in their works,And bplayedtheharlot in their actions.40So the aanger of Yahweh was kindled against His peopleAnd He babhorred His 1,cinheritance.41Then aHe gave them into the hand of the 1nations,And those who hated them ruled over them.42Their enemiesaoppressed them,And they were subduedunder their hand.43Manytimes He would adeliver them; But they were rebellious in their bcounsel,And so they csankdown in their iniquity.44Nevertheless He looked upon their distressWhen He aheard their cry of lamentation;45And He aremembered for them His covenant,And 1,brelentedcaccording to the abundance of His lovingkindness.46He also made them aobjects of compassionIn the presence of all their captors.47aSave us, O Yahweh our God,And bgather us from among the nations,To givethanks to Your holynameAnd crevel in Your praise.48aBlessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel,From everlasting to everlasting. And let all the peoplesay, “Amen.”1PraiseYah!
