Exodus 14:21

Then God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.

Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools and over all their reservoirs of water, that they may become blood; and there will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’”

“As for you, raise up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and split it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land.

“For we have heard how Yahweh dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you devoted to destruction.

And the priests who carried the ark of the covenant of Yahweh stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan while all Israel crossed on dry ground until all the nation had completed crossing the Jordan.

“For Yahweh your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed, just as Yahweh your God had done to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed,

‘And I brought your fathers out of Egypt, and you came to the sea; and Egypt pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea.

And Elijah took his mantle and folded it together and struck the waters, and they were divided here and there, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

Now this happened because the sons of Israel had sinned against Yahweh their God—who had brought them up from the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt—and they had feared other gods

“But Yahweh, who brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and with an outstretched arm, Him you shall fear, and to Him you shall worship, and to Him you shall sacrifice.

“You split the sea before them, So they passed through the midst of the sea on dry land; And their pursuers You cast into the depths, Like a stone into mighty waters.

He turned the sea into dry land; They passed through the river on foot; There let us be glad in Him!

You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.

You split open spring and river; You dried up ever-flowing rivers.

The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were in anguish; The deeps also trembled.

He split the sea and caused them to pass through, And He made the waters stand up like a heap.

Thus He rebuked the Red Sea and it dried up, And He led them through the deeps, as through the wilderness.

The sea looked and fled; The Jordan turned back.

To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His lovingkindness endures forever,

He has stretched His hand out over the sea; He has made the kingdoms tremble; Yahweh has given a command concerning Canaan to demolish its strong defenses.

Thus says Yahweh, Who makes a way through the sea And a path through the mighty waters,

“Why was there no man when I came? When I called, why was there none to answer? Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke; I make the rivers a wilderness; Their fish stink for lack of water And die of thirst.

Who caused His glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses, Who split the waters before them to make for Himself an everlasting name,

But by a prophet Yahweh brought Israel up from Egypt, And by a prophet he was kept.

Did Yahweh’s fury burn against the rivers, Or was Your anger against the rivers, Or was Your wrath against the sea, That You rode on Your horses, On Your chariots of salvation?

“This man led them out, doing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea and in the wilderness for forty years.
