Psalm 78:57

And the ark of God was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, died.

Remember His wondrous deeds which He has done, His miraculous signs and the judgments uttered by His mouth,

All this has come upon us, but we have not forgotten You, And we have not dealt falsely with Your covenant.

Our heart has not turned back, Nor have our steps deviated from Your path,

The sons of Ephraim were archers equipped with bows, Yet they turned back in the day of battle.

Let me hear what the God, Yahweh, will speak; For He will speak peace to His people, to His holy ones; But let them not turn back to folly.

We have sinned with our fathers, We have committed iniquity, we have acted wickedly.

They turn, but not upward; They are like a deceitful bow; Their princes will fall by the sword Because of the indignation of their tongue. This will be their scoffing in the land of Egypt.
