Psalm 106:40

‘Yet they are Your people, even Your inheritance, whom You have brought out by Your great power and Your outstretched arm.’

so that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominations which they have done for their gods, so that you would sin against Yahweh your God.

“And Yahweh saw this and spurned them Because of the provocation of His sons and daughters.

And the anger of Yahweh burned against Israel, and He gave them into the hands of plunderers who plundered them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies around them, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.

Then 3,000 men of Judah went down to the cleft of the rock of Etam and said to Samson, “Do you not know that the Philistines are rulers over us? What then is this that you have done to us?” And he said to them, “As they did to me, so I have done to them.”

Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; Be their shepherd also, and carry them forever.

God heard and was filled with wrath And greatly rejected Israel;

“Then you are to say to them, ‘It is because your fathers have forsaken Me,’ declares Yahweh, ‘and have walked after other gods and served them and worshiped them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law.

“And she uncovered her harlotries and uncovered her nakedness; then My soul became disgusted with her, as My soul had become disgusted with her sister.

Lord Yahweh has sworn by Himself, Yahweh God of hosts has declared: “I abhor the lofty pride of Jacob And hate his citadels; Therefore I will deliver up the city as well as its fullness.”
