• Matt 1:22Now all this took place in order that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled, saying,
• Matt 2:15And he remained there until the death of Herod, in order that what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
• Matt 2:17Then what had been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying,
• Matt 2:23and came and lived in a city called Nazareth, so that what was spoken through the prophets would be fulfilled: “He shall be called a Nazarene.”

• Matt 18:7“Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; nevertheless, woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!

• Mark 6:14And King Herod heard it, for His name had become well known; and people were saying, “John the Baptist has risen from the dead, and that is why these miraculous powers are at work in Him.”
• Mark 6:17For Herod himself had sent and had John arrested and bound in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip, because he had married her.
• Mark 6:26And although the king was very sorry, yet because of his oaths and because of his dinner guests, he did not want to refuse her.
• Mark 7:29And He said to her, “Because of this answer go; the demon has gone out of your daughter.”
• Mark 7:31And again He went out from the region of Tyre, and came through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, within the region of the Decapolis.
• Mark 9:30From there they went out and were going through Galilee, and He was not wanting anyone to know about it.
• Mark 10:25“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
• Mark 11:16and He was not permitting anyone to carry merchandise through the temple.
• Mark 12:24Jesus said to them, “Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures nor the power of God?

• Luke 8:4Now when a large crowd was coming together, and those from the various cities were journeying to Him, He spoke by way of a parable:
• Luke 8:6“And other seed fell on rock and as soon as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture.
• Luke 8:19And His mother and brothers came to Him, and they were unable to get to Him because of the crowd.
• Luke 9:7Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed, because it was said by some that John had risen from the dead,

• John 5:16And for this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath.
• John 5:18For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.
• John 6:57“As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.
• John 6:65And He was saying, “For this reason I have said to you, that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.”
• John 7:22“For this reason Moses has given you circumcision (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man.
