Mark 6:17

Now when John in prison heard of the works of Christ, he sent word by his disciples

For when Herod had John arrested, he bound him and put him in prison because of Herodias, the wife of his brother Philip.

But when Herod’s birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod,

But when Herod the tetrarch was reproved by him because of Herodias, his brother’s wife, and because of all the wicked things which Herod had done,

for John had not yet been thrown into prison.
