John 3:13

Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name? And what is His Son’s name? Surely you know!

And Jesus *said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

“He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

“What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?

(Now this expression, “He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
