Numbers 23:19

“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go. And I will bring you back to this land; for I will not forsake you until I have done what I have promised you.”

‘I, Yahweh, have spoken, surely this I will do to all this evil congregation who are gathered together against Me. In this wilderness they shall come to an end, and there they will die.’”

“Also the Eternal One of Israel will not lie or have regret; for He is not a man that He should have regret.”

“My covenant I will not profane, Nor will I alter what comes forth from My lips.

Yahweh has sworn and will not change His mind, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”

and the remainder of the number of bowmen, the mighty men of the sons of Kedar, will be few; for Yahweh, the God of Israel, has spoken.”

Yet He also is wise and will bring about an evil demise And does not turn His words aside, But will arise against the house of evildoers And against the help of the workers of iniquity.

Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man of My counsel from a far country. Truly I have spoken; truly I will bring it to pass. I have formed it, surely I will do it.

“For this the earth shall mourn And the heavens above be dark Because I have spoken; I have purposed, And I will not relent, nor will I turn from it.”

“All this reached Nebuchadnezzar the king.

I will not execute My burning anger; I will not make Ephraim a ruin again. For I am God and not man, the Holy One in your midst, And I will not come in wrath.

“For I, Yahweh, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel;

If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.

(for they indeed became priests without an oath, but He with an oath through the One who said to Him, “The Lord has sworn And will not change His mind, ‘You are a priest forever’”);

Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”?
