Micah 6:15

“You shall bring out much seed to the field, but you will gather in little, for the locust will consume it.

“You shall have olive trees throughout your territory, but you will not anoint yourself with the oil, for your olives will drop off.

Let me sow and another eat, And let my crops be uprooted.

“They have sown wheat and have reaped thorns; They have strained themselves to no profit. But be ashamed of your produce Because of the burning anger of Yahweh.”

Therefore because you impose heavy rent on the poor And take a tribute of grain from them, Though you have built houses of cut stone, Yet you will not live in them; You have planted desirable vineyards, yet you will not drink their wine.

Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no produce on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields yield no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls,

“And it will be that their wealth will become spoil And their houses desolate; Indeed, they will build houses but not inhabit them, And plant vineyards but not drink their wine.”

“For in this case the saying is true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’
