Jeremiah 12:13

‘And your power will be spent uselessly, for your land will not give forth its produce and the trees of the land will not give forth their fruit.

“Everyone deceives his neighbor And does not speak the truth; They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves committing iniquity.

“You will sow but you will not reap. You will tread the olive but will not anoint yourself with oil; And the grapes, but you will not drink wine.

Therefore what benefit were you then having from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
