Job 5:14

“They grope in darkness with no light, And He makes them wander about like a drunken man.

“He will not be able to depart from darkness; The flame will wither his shoots, And by the breath of His mouth he will depart.

“He is driven from light into darkness, And chased from the inhabited world.

Or darkness, so that you cannot see, And an abundance of water covers you.

“From the wicked their light is withheld, And the arm raised high is broken.

Causing the omens of boasters to be annulled, And making fools out of diviners, Causing wise men to turn back, And making foolishness out of their knowledge,

We grope along the wall like blind men; We grope like those who have no eyes; We stumble at midday as in the twilight, Among those who are vigorous we are like dead men.

“And it will be in that day,” declares Lord Yahweh, “That I will make the sun go down at noon And make the earth dark in broad daylight.

“Will I not on that day,” declares Yahweh, “Cause the wise men to perish from Edom And discernment from the mountain of Esau?
