Jeremiah 51:21

Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to Yahweh and said, “I will sing to Yahweh, for He is highly exalted; The horse and its rider He has hurled into the sea.

O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, How blessed will be the one who repays you With the recompense with which you have recompensed us.

The oracle concerning Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz beheld.

“How the hammer of the whole earth Has been cut in pieces and broken! How Babylon has become An object of horror among the nations!

“A sword against their horses and against their chariots And against all the foreigners who are in the midst of her, And they will become women! A sword against her treasures, and they will be plundered!

‘And I will pour out My indignation on you; I will blow on you with the fire of My fury, and I will give you into the hand of brutal men, craftsmen of destruction.

“Arise and thresh, daughter of Zion, For your horn I will make iron, And your hoofs I will make bronze, That you may pulverize many peoples, That you may devote to Yahweh their greedy gain unto destruction And their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.

The one who scatters has come up against you. Guard the fortification, watch the road; Strengthen your loins, instill your power with exceeding courage.
