Exodus 25

Contributions for the Sanctuary

25Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2aSpeak with the sons of Israel so that they take a 1contribution for Me; bfrom every man whose heart is willing you shall take My 2contribution. 3And this is the 1contribution which you shall take from them: gold, silver, and bronze, 41,ablue, purple, and scarlet material, fine linen, goat hair, 5rams’ skins dyed red, porpoise skins, acacia wood, 6aoil for lighting, bspices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, 7onyx stones, and setting stones for the aephod and for the 1,bbreastpiece. 8And let them amake a sanctuary for Me, bthat I may dwell among them. 9aAccording to all that I am going to show you, as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, just so you shall make it.

The Ark of the Testimony

10aAnd they shall make an ark of acacia wood two and a half 1cubits 2long, and one and a half cubits 3wide, and one and a half cubits 4high. 11You shall aoverlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and you shall make a gold molding 1around it. 12You shall cast four gold rings for it and 1fasten them on its four feet, and two rings shall be on one side of it and two rings on the other side of it. 13You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 14You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them. 15The apoles shall 1remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it. 16You shall aput into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.
17You shall amake a 1mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half 2cubits 3long and one and a half cubits 4wide. 18You shall make two cherubim of gold; make them of hammered work 1at the two ends of the mercy seat. 19Make one cherub 1at one end and one cherub 2at the other end; from one piece you shall make the mercy seat with the cherubim at its two ends. 20aThe cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be toward the mercy seat. 21aYou shall put the mercy seat 1on top of the ark, and bin the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. 22aThere I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from bbetween the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all which I will command you for the sons of Israel.

Bread of the Presence

23aYou shall make a table of acacia wood, two 1cubits 2long and one cubit 3wide and one and a half cubits 4high. 24You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a gold aborder around it. 25You shall make for it a rim of a 1handbreadth around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it. 26You shall make four gold rings for it and put rings on the four corners which are on its four feet. 27The rings shall be close to the rim as holders for the poles to carry the table. 28You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that with them the table may be carried. 29You shall make its 1,adishes and its pans and its jars and its offering bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. 30You shall set athe bread of the 1Presence on the table before Me 2at all times.

The Golden Lampstand

31aThen you shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand, its base, and its shaft are to be made of hammered work; its cups, its 1bulbs, and its flowers shall be 2of the same piece. 32aSix branches shall go out from its sides; three branches of the lampstand from its one side and three branches of the lampstand from its 1other side. 33aThree cups shall be shaped like almond blossoms in the one branch, a 1bulb and a flower, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms in the 2other branch, a 3bulb and a flowerso for the six branches going out from the lampstand; 34and ain the lampstand four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its 1bulbs and its flowers. 35aAnd a 1bulb shall be under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a 2bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a 3bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. 36aTheir 1bulbs and their branches shall be 2of the same piece; all of it shall be one piece of hammered work of pure gold. 37Then you shall make its lamps seven in number; and athey shall 1mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it. 38And its tongs and 1their trays shall be of pure gold. 39It shall be made from a 1talent of pure gold, with all these utensils. 40aAnd see that you make them bafter the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain.
