Amos 5:10

A scoffer does not love one who reproves him, He will not go to the wise.

Who cause a person to sin by a word, And ensnare him who reproves at the gate, And defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments.

But Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, a eunuch, while he was in the king’s palace, heard that they had put Jeremiah into the cistern. Now the king was sitting in the Gate of Benjamin;

Yet let no man contend, and let no man offer reproof; Indeed, your people are like those who contend with the priest.

So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?
