Romans 12:19

‘You shall not take vengeance, and you shall not keep your anger against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh.

‘Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, In due time their foot will stumble; For the day of their disaster is near, And the impending things are hastening upon them.’

David also said, “As Yahweh lives, surely Yahweh will smite him, or his day will come that he dies, or he will go down into battle and be swept away.

“Yahweh forbid that I should send forth my hand against the anointed of Yahweh; but now please take the spear that is at his head and the jug of water, and let us go.”

O Yahweh, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth!

Do not say, “I will repay evil”; Hope in Yahweh, and He will save you.

Therefore thus says Yahweh, “Behold, I am going to plead your case And exact full vengeance for you; And I will dry up her sea And make her fountain dry.

Never paying back evil for evil to anyone, respecting what is good in the sight of all men,

and do not give the devil an opportunity.

and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you.

Alexander the coppersmith showed me much harm; the Lord will award him according to his deeds.

For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”
