Psalm 9:16

‘Thus says Yahweh, “By this you shall know that I am Yahweh: behold, I am about to strike the water that is in the Nile with the staff that is in my hand, and it will be turned to blood.

Then Absalom and all the men of Israel said, “The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel.” For Yahweh had ordained to thwart the good counsel of Ahithophel, so that Yahweh might bring calamity on Absalom.

Therefore the wicked will not rise in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Hold them guilty, O God; By their own devices let them fall! In the abundance of their transgressions thrust them out, For they are rebellious against You.

In his lofty pride the wicked hotly pursues the afflicted; Let them be caught in the thoughts which they have devised.

“Therefore behold, I am going to make them know— This time I will make them know My power and My might; And they shall know that My name is Yahweh.”

“So I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful reproofs; and they will know that I am Yahweh when I lay My vengeance on them.”’”

“Thus I will execute judgments on Egypt, And they will know that I am Yahweh.”’”

“When I make the land of Egypt a desolation, And the land is desolate of its fullness, When I strike all those who inhabit it, Then they shall know that I am Yahweh.

therefore as I live,” declares Lord Yahweh, “I will deal with you according to your anger and according to your jealousy which you dealt with them because of your hatred against them; so I will make Myself known among them when I judge you.

“And I will magnify Myself, I will manifest Myself as holy, and I will make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am Yahweh.”’

“This edict is by the resolution of the watchers, And the decision is a command of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High is the powerful ruler over the kingdom of mankind And gives it to whom He wishes And sets up over it the lowliest of men.”
