Psalm 69:2

Or darkness, so that you cannot see, And an abundance of water covers you.

“He has cast me into the mire, And I have become like dust and ashes.

The cords of death encompassed me, And the torrents of vileness terrified me.

He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a high rock, He established my steps.

Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me.

Deliver me from the mire and do not let me sink; May I be delivered from my foes and from the deep waters.

Then the waters would have flowed over us, The stream would have swept over our soul;

A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I called to You, O Yahweh.

Then they took Jeremiah and cast him into the cistern of Malchijah the king’s son, which was in the court of the guard; and they let Jeremiah down with ropes. Now in the cistern there was no water but only mire, and Jeremiah sank into the mire.

For Yahweh is going to destroy Babylon, And He will make her loud noise vanish from her. And their waves will roar like many waters; The rumbling of their voices sounds forth.

Waters flowed over my head; I said, “I am cut off!”

“For You had cast me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the current surrounded me. All Your breakers and waves passed over me.

“Water encompassed me to my very soul. The great deep surrounded me, Weeds were wrapped around my head.
