Psalm 51:16

And Samuel said, “Has Yahweh as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of Yahweh? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.

Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired; My ears You have opened; Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required.

“I do not reprove you for your sacrifices, And your burnt offerings are continually before Me.

And this will please Yahweh better than an ox Or a young bull with horns and hoofs.

“For I did not speak to your fathers or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices.

Take words with you and return to Yahweh. Say to Him, “Forgive all iniquity And take what is good, That we may pay in full the fruit of our lips.

With what shall I come before Yahweh And bow myself before the God on high? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, With yearling calves?
