Psalm 44:9

Then Gideon said to him, “O my lord, if Yahweh is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His wondrous deeds which our fathers recounted to us, saying, ‘Did not Yahweh bring us up from Egypt?’ But now Yahweh has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.”

For You are the God of my strength; why have You rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

When he struggled with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, and Joab returned, and smote twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt. O God, You have rejected us. You have broken us; You have been angry; Oh, restore us.

Have You Yourself, O God, not rejected us? And will You, O God, not go forth with our armies?

A Maskil of Asaph. Why, O God? Have You rejected us forever? Why does Your anger smoke against the sheep of Your pasture?

Will the Lord reject evermore? And will He not be favorable again?

O Yahweh, why do You reject my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?

But You have cast off and rejected, You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.

Have You, O God, not rejected us? And will You, O God, not go forth with our armies?
