Psalm 37:14

For, behold, the wicked bend the bow, They make ready their arrow upon the string To shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.

They have now surrounded us in our steps; They set their eyes to cast us down to the ground.

Deliver my soul from the sword, My only life from the power of the dog.

All my bones will say, “Yahweh, who is like You, Who delivers the afflicted from him who is too strong for him, And the afflicted and the needy from him who robs him?”

The wicked spies upon the righteous And seeks to put him to death.

Because he did not remember to show lovingkindness, But persecuted the afflicted, the needy man, And the disheartened to put them to death.
