Psalm 13:1

“Why do You hide Your face And think of me as Your enemy?

Why do You stand afar off, O Yahweh? Why do You hide Yourself in times of distress?

Lord, how long will You look on? Bring back my soul from their ravages, My only life from the lions.

How long, O Yahweh? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire?

O Yahweh, why do You reject my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?

How long, O Yahweh? Will You hide Yourself forever? Will Your wrath burn like fire?

Why do You forget us forever? Why do You forsake us so long?

How long, O Yahweh, will I call for help, And You will not hear? I cry out to You, “Violence!” Yet You do not save.
