Numbers 30:2

“Build yourselves cities for your little ones and sheepfolds for your sheep, and do what you have promised.”

“When you make a vow to Yahweh your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for Yahweh your God will surely require it of you; and it will be a sin in you.

So it happened that when he saw her, he tore his clothes and said, “Alas, my daughter! You have brought me very low, and you are among those who trouble me. But I have opened my mouth to vow to Yahweh, and I cannot take it back.”

So she said to him, “My father, you have opened your mouth to vow to Yahweh; do to me according to what has gone out from your mouth, since Yahweh has avenged you of your enemies, the sons of Ammon.”

“Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving And pay your vows to the Most High;

My companion has put forth his hands against those who were at peace with him; He has violated his covenant.

When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!

“Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall fulfill your vows to the Lord.’
