Micah 3:4

“Then you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but Yahweh will not answer you in that day.”

“Will God hear his cry When distress comes upon him?

“Surely God will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty perceive it.

“Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me earnestly but they will not find me,

“So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Indeed, even though you multiply prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood.

“I will declare your righteousness and your deeds, But they will not profit you.

Therefore thus says Yahweh, “Behold, I am bringing calamity on them which they will not be able to get out of; and they will cry to Me, yet I will not listen to them.

“When they fast, I am not going to listen to their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I am not going to accept them. Rather I am going to make an end of them by the sword, famine, and pestilence.”

‘While they are coming to fight with the Chaldeans and to fill them with the corpses of men whom I have struck down in My anger and in My wrath, and I have hidden My face from this city because of all their evil:

“Therefore, I also will do this in wrath: My eye will have no pity, nor will I spare; and they will cry in My ears with a loud voice, yet I will not listen to them.”

The seers will be ashamed, And the diviners will be humiliated. Indeed, they will all cover their mouths Because there is no answer from God.

And the earth will become desolate because of her inhabitants, On account of the fruit of their deeds.
