Matthew 3:12

And the strong man will become tinder, His work also a spark. Thus they shall both burn together, And there will be none to quench them.

“I have no wrath. Who would ever give Me briars and thorns in the battle? I would step on them, I would burn them completely.

Also the oxen and the donkeys which work the ground will eat salted fodder, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork.

“Then they will go forth and look On the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm will not die And their fire will not be quenched; And they will be an object of contempt to all mankind.”

“I will send strangers to Babylon that they may winnow her And may empty her land to destruction; For on every side they will be against her In the day of her calamity.

“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a smelter’s fire and like fullers’ soap.

‘Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”

“And if your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life crippled, than, having your two hands, to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire,

where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.
