Matthew 19:5

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

“But not one has done so, even one who has a remnant of the Spirit. And what did that one do while he was seeking a godly seed? Be careful then to keep your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth.

Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body with her? For He says, “The two shall become one flesh.”

But to the married I give instructions, not I, but the Lord, that the wife should not leave her husband

For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
