Luke 14:7

For it is better that it be said to you, “Come up here,” Than for you to be placed lower in the presence of a noble, Whom your eyes have seen.

“And they love the place of honor at banquets and the best seats in the synagogues,

“Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the best seat in the synagogues and the respectful greetings in the marketplaces.

“Beware of the scribes, who want to walk around in long robes, and love greetings in the marketplaces, and best seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets,
