40Some of the crowd therefore, when they heard these words, were saying, “This truly is athe Prophet.” 41Others were saying, “This is the 1Christ.” Still others were saying, “aNo, for is the 2Christ going to come from Galilee? 42“Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from athe seed of David and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?” 43So aa division occurred in the crowd because of Him.
