Jeremiah 51:6

O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, How blessed will be the one who repays you With the recompense with which you have recompensed us.

The oracle concerning Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz beheld.

Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! Declare with the sound of joyful shouting, cause this to be heard, Bring it forth to the end of the earth; Say, “Yahweh has redeemed His servant Jacob.”

“For the day of vengeance was in My heart, And My year of redemption has come.

‘—For many nations and great kings will make slaves of them, even them; and I will repay them according to their deeds and according to the work of their hands—’”

“Flee, escape with your lives, That you may be like a juniper in the wilderness.

“Wander away from the midst of Babylon And go forth from the land of the Chaldeans; Be also like male goats at the head of the flock.

Therefore thus says Yahweh, “Behold, I am going to plead your case And exact full vengeance for you; And I will dry up her sea And make her fountain dry.

“Come forth from her midst, My people, And each of you escape with his life From the burning anger of Yahweh.

For the destroyer is coming against her, against Babylon, And her mighty men will be captured; Their bows are shattered; For Yahweh is a God of recompense, He will fully repay.

You will recompense them, O Yahweh, According to the work of their hands.

“Woe, Zion! Escape, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon.”

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;
