Jeremiah 50:34

“As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will rise up over the dust of this world.

O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, How blessed will be the one who repays you With the recompense with which you have recompensed us.

For their Redeemer is strong; He will plead their case against you.

The oracle concerning Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz beheld.

Surely, thus says Yahweh, “Even the captives of the mighty man will be taken away, And the prey of the tyrant will be granted escape; For I will contend with the one who contends with you, And I will save your sons.

Thus says your Lord, Yahweh, even your God Who contends for His people, “Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of reeling, The chalice of My wrath; You will never drink it again.

“So I will deliver you from the hand of the evil ones, And I will redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless ones.”

For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob And redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.

Thus says Yahweh, Who gives the sun for light by day And the statutes for the moon and the stars for light by night, Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; Yahweh of hosts is His name:

The portion of Jacob is not like these; For the Maker of all is He, And of the tribe of His inheritance; Yahweh of hosts is His name.

O Lord, You have pleaded my soul’s cause; You have redeemed my life.

But Yahweh gives forth His voice before His military force; Surely His camp is very numerous, For mighty is he who does His word. The day of Yahweh is indeed great and very awesome, And who can endure it?

I will bear the rage of Yahweh Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case and does justice for me. He will bring me out to the light, And I will see His righteousness.

“For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.
