Jeremiah 50:32

If I sharpen My flashing sword, And My hand takes hold on judgment, I will render vengeance on My adversaries, And I will repay those who hate Me.

May the arrogant be ashamed, for they wrong me with lying; But I shall muse on Your precepts.

O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one, How blessed will be the one who repays you With the recompense with which you have recompensed us.

She has fallen; she will not rise again— The virgin Israel. She lies abandoned on her land; There is none to raise her up.

“For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.
