Jeremiah 3:13

‘If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against Me, and also how they walked in hostility against Me—

The seed of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.

Who inflame yourselves among the oaks, Under every green tree, Who slaughter the children in the ravines, Under the clefts of the cliffs?

Thus says Yahweh to this people, “Even so they have loved to wander; they have not kept their feet in check. Therefore Yahweh does not accept them; now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins.”

“Contend with your mother, contend, For she is not my wife, and I am not her husband; And let her remove her harlotry from her face And her adultery from between her breasts,

I will go away and return to My place Until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their affliction they will seek Me earnestly.
