Jeremiah 26:19

However, Hezekiah humbled the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of Yahweh did not come on them in the days of Hezekiah.

but if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to do against it.

‘So now, thus says Yahweh, the God of hosts, the God of Israel, “Why are you doing great evil against yourselves, so as to cut off from you man and woman, infant and nursing baby, from among Judah, leaving yourselves without remnant,

Yahweh relented concerning this. “It shall not be,” said Yahweh.

“You have counseled a shameful thing for your house By cutting off many peoples; So you are sinning against your own soul.

And the town of Bethel sent Sharezer and Regemmelech and their men to entreat the favor of Yahweh,
