Jeremiah 12:3

But for Your sake we are killed all day long; We are counted as sheep for the slaughter.

You who know, O Yahweh, Remember me, take notice of me, And take vengeance for me on my persecutors. Do not, in view of Your patience, take me away; Know that for Your sake I endure reproach.

But as for me, I have not hurried away from being a shepherd after You, Nor have I longed for the sickening day; You Yourself know that the utterance of my lips Was in Your presence.

You have lived luxuriously on the earth and lived in self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.

But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, blaspheming where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed,
