James 3:8

They sharpen their tongues as a serpent; Poison of an asp is under their lips. Selah.

He who has a crooked heart finds no good, And he who is perverted in his tongue falls into evil.

If anyone thinks himself to be religious while not bridling his tongue but deceiving his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.

For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the entire body as well.
