Isaiah 49:1

Upon You I was cast from birth; You have been my God from my mother’s womb.

Then it will be in that day, that the Lord Will again acquire the second time with His hand The remnant of His people, who will remain, From Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Ethiopia, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, And from the coastlands of the sea.

Therefore glorify Yahweh in the east, The name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, In the coastlands of the sea.

“You who are far away, hear what I have done; And you who are near, acknowledge My might.”

“He will not be faint or crushed Until He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands will wait expectantly for His law.”

“I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden wealth of secret places, So that you may know that it is I, Yahweh, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.

“Hear Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, You who have been burdening Me from birth And have been carried from the womb;

“Behold, these will come from afar; And behold, these will come from the north and from the west, And these from the land of Sinim.”

Behold, My Servant will prosper; He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted.

“Surely the coastlands will hope in Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, For the name of Yahweh your God, And for the Holy One of Israel because He has adorned you with beautiful glory.

“Before I formed you in the innermost parts I knew you, And before you came out from the womb I set you apart; I have given you as a prophet to the nations.”

But when God, who had set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased
