Isaiah 38:14

Now in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and seized them.

In those days Hezekiah became ill to the point of death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’”

“Establish, now, a pledge for me with Yourself; Who is there that will clap my hand in pledge?

Give heed to me and answer me; I am restless in my complaint and am surely distracted,

I am weary with my calling out; my throat is parched; My eyes fail while I wait for my God.

My eyes fail with longing for Your word, Saying, “When will You comfort me?”

All of us growl like bears, And moan sadly like doves; We hope for justice, but there is none, For salvation, but it is far from us.

‘Even when their survivors escape, they will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, each over his own iniquity.

So it stands fixed: She is exiled, she is carried away, And her maidservants are moaning like the sound of doves, Beating on their hearts.

so much more Jesus also has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
