28Woe to the proudcrown of the adrunkards of bEphraim,And to the fadingflower of its gloriousbeauty,Which is at the head of the 1fertilevalleyOf those who are 2overcome with wine!2Behold, the Lord has a strong and acourageousagent;As a storm of bhail, a tempest of destruction,Like a storm of cmightyoverflowingwaters,He has setitdown to the earth with Hishand.3The proudcrown of the drunkards of Ephraim is atrodden under foot.4And the fadingflower of its gloriousbeauty,Which is at the head of the 1fertilevalley,Will be like the afirst-ripefigprior to summer,Which2one sees,And3as soon as it is in his 4hand,He swallows it.
