Isaiah 1:24

But his bow remained firm, And his arms were agile, From the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel,

“O nations, cause His people to shout for joy; For He will avenge the blood of His slaves, And He will render vengeance on His adversaries, And He will atone for His land and His people.”

Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.

Say to those with an anxious heart, “Be strong, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The recompense of God will come, But He will save you.”

“Shall I not punish them for these things?” declares Yahweh. “On a nation such as this Shall I not avenge Myself?

‘Thus My anger will be spent, and I will cause My wrath against them to be at rest, and I will be appeased; then they will know that I, Yahweh, have spoken in My zeal when I have spent My wrath upon them.

“And I will execute vengeance in anger and wrath On the nations which have not listened.”
