Genesis 18:25

(Now Abimelech had not come near her.) Then he said, “Lord, will You kill a nation, even though righteous?

But they fell on their faces and said, “O God, God of the spirits of all flesh, when one man sins, will You be angry with the entire congregation?”

“The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.

‘I therefore have not sinned against you, but you are doing me evil by making war against me; may Yahweh, the Judge, judge today between the sons of Israel and the sons of Ammon.’”

“So now then let the dread of Yahweh be upon you; be careful what you do, because with Yahweh our God there is no unrighteousness or partiality or the taking of a bribe.”

“However, You are righteous in all that has come upon us; For You have dealt in truth, but we have acted wickedly.

“Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert what is right?

“Therefore, listen to me, you men with a heart of wisdom. Far be it from God to do injustice, And from the Almighty to do wrong.

Be lifted up, O Judge of the earth, Render recompense to the proud.

I said in my heart, “God will judge both the righteous man and the wicked man,” for a time for every matter and for every work is there.

But, O Yahweh of hosts, who judges righteously, Who tests the insides and the heart, Let me see Your vengeance on them, For to You have I revealed my case.

“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not right.’ Hear now, O house of Israel! Is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right?

So you will return and see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

But the son by the servant-woman had been born according to the flesh, while the son by the free woman through the promise.

to the festal gathering and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
