Ezekiel 7:6

‘Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, In due time their foot will stumble; For the day of their disaster is near, And the impending things are hastening upon them.’

They hunted our steps So that we could not walk in our open squares; Our end drew near, Our days were finished, For our end had come.

“Now as for you, son of man, thus says Lord Yahweh to the land of Israel, ‘An end! The end is coming on the four corners of the earth.

‘The time has come; the day has arrived. Let not the buyer be glad nor the seller mourn; for wrath is against all their multitude.

Alas for the day! For the day of Yahweh is near, And it will come as destruction from the Almighty.

And Yahweh said to me, “What do you see, Amos?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then the Lord said, “Behold, I am about to put a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel. I will pass over them no longer.

And he said, “What do you see, Amos?” And I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” Then Yahweh said to me, “The end has come for My people Israel. I will pass over them no longer.

Neither their silver nor their gold Will be able to deliver them On the day of the fury of Yahweh; And all the earth will be devoured In the fire of His jealousy, For He will make a complete destruction, Indeed a terrifying one, Of all the inhabitants of the earth.
