2Son of man, because aTyre has said concerning Jerusalem, ‘Aha, the bgateway of the peoples is broken; it has 1,copened to me. I shall be filled, now that she is laid waste,’ 3therefore thus says Lord Yahweh, ‘Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and I will bring up amany nations against you, as the bsea brings up its waves. 4They will amake the walls of Tyre a ruin and pull down her towers; and I will scrape her dust from her and make her a bare rock.
