Exodus 31:13

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

“It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”

‘Every one of you shall fear his mother and his father, and you shall keep My sabbaths; I am Yahweh your God.

‘And you shall keep My statutes and do them; I am Yahweh who makes you holy.

‘For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall not do any work; it is a sabbath to Yahweh in all your places of habitation.

‘Observe the sabbath day to keep it holy, as Yahweh your God commanded you.

“How blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who takes hold of it, Who keeps from profaning the sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

“You shall not bring a load out of your houses on the sabbath day nor do any work, but keep the sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.

“And I also gave them My sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies them.

“And the nations will know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever.”’”

saying, “When will the new moon pass over, So that we may sell grain, And the sabbath, that we may open the wheat market, To make the bushel smaller and the shekel bigger, And to cheat with a deceptive balance,
