Deuteronomy 23:20

“If you lend money to My people, to the afflicted among you, you are not to act as a creditor to him; you shall not charge him interest.

‘Do not take usurious interest from him, but fear your God, that your brother may live with you.

“From a foreigner you may exact it, but your hand shall release whatever of yours is with your brother.

“Yahweh will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

I consulted within my own heart and contended with the nobles and the officials and said to them, “You are exacting usury, each from his brother!” Therefore, I held a great assembly against them.

He does not put out his money at interest, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

And the people will be like the priest, the male slave like his master, the female slave like her mistress, the buyer like the seller, the lender like the borrower, the creditor like the debtor.

if he does not lend money on interest or take increase, if he turns his hand from injustice and does true justice between man and man,
