But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt had spoken to them, but let the boys live.

Then Jeremiah spoke to all the officials and to all the people, saying, “Yahweh sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that you have heard.

And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it.”

Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and comprehended that they were uneducated and ordinary men, they were marveling, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.

But Peter and the apostles answered and said, “We must obey God rather than men.
