13Now Davidcalled him, and he ate and drankbefore him, and he amade him drunk; and in the evening he wentout to lie on his bedbwith his lord’sservants, but he did not godown to his house.
14Now it happened in the morning that Davidawrote a letter to Joab and sentit by the hand of Uriah. 15aAnd he had written in the letter, saying, “1PlaceUriah in the frontline of the 2fiercestbattle and withdraw from him, bso that he may be struckdown and die.”
