2 Corinthians 11:24

“He may strike him forty times but no more, lest he strike him with many more stripes than these and your brother be dishonored in your eyes.

for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name.”

To this present hour we hunger and thirst, and are poorly clothed, and roughly treated, and homeless;

For if we are out of our mind, it is for God, or if we are of right mind, it is for you.

but in everything commending ourselves as ministers of God, in much perseverance, in afflictions, in distresses, in hardships,

persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra. What persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!
