2 Chronicles 21:7

But for David’s sake Yahweh his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem;

He was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

So Joram slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and Ahaziah his son became king in his place.

Then all the assembly cut a covenant with the king in the house of God. And Jehoiada said to them, “Behold, the king’s son shall reign, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the sons of David.

“There I will cause the horn of David to spring up; I have prepared a lamp for Mine anointed.

then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers.
