1 Samuel 25:27

“Please take my blessing which has been brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me and because I have everything.” Thus he urged him, and he took it.

Then David came to Ziklag and sent some of the spoil to the elders of Judah, to his friends, saying, “Behold, a gift for you from the spoil of the enemies of Yahweh:

Then he returned to the man of God with all his camp, and came and stood before him, and said, “Behold now, I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel; so now please take a blessing from your servant.”

A man’s gift makes room for him And leads him into the presence of great men.

If the ruler’s temper rises against you, do not abandon your position, because calmness causes great offenses to be abandoned.
