1 Corinthians 4:9

I have become a marvel to many, For You are my strong refuge.

Why did I ever come forth from the womb To look on trouble and sorrow, So that my days have been spent in shame?

Just as it is written, “For Your sake we are being put to death all day long; We were counted as sheep for the slaughter.”

If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.

partly by being made a public spectacle through reproaches and afflictions, and partly by becoming sharers with those who were so treated.
